Interesting piece by Rana Dasgupta re THE SUDDEN STARDOM OF THE THIRD-WORLD CITY. I´m not sure if I´ve mentioned this here before: that I saw a month or more ago the documentary "megacities" by Michael Glawogger http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169024/ . And have also been reading a lot (okay, some...) about world cities and world city theory in the past two months. So, see the Dasgupta piece. I will comment later; just thought to note the piece here first of all.
